         Starting something without the funds with which to do it right will only just cost you more down the road in more ways then just in money?
          It is important to remember that a pond must be well maintained especially if you are putting a pond where Mother Nature did not, you will find that things will tend to fall apart very fast.

    Is it for just looks to fill in a bad spot or do you want it to be a functional pond complete with fish and aquatic plants?
       Some location issues are underground pipes electrical, water or gas must be avoided as well as other underground issues such as slope, soil, direction of water flow, sunlight, wind all must be considered before you ever begin to build and not after.
