Garden Center - Natural Fertilization

Immediate Help with your Natural Fertilizer Problems:

If you are having a specific problem related to Organic Fertilizer use, please either call me on my radio show and we can talk or you can see if I can help you out. If you are wanting to know what chemical fertilizer to use, you have missed the point of this site and really should go look else where as I am sure there are plenty of folks out there who would love to talk Chemical Fertilizers with you.

Here are some simple Rules of Organic Fertilization:

  1. Avoid High Nitrogen with urea in it! Slow release pellets are better. Avoid using any fertilizer organic or not that has Urea as a source of nitrogen ( Urea can be in an organic fertilizer even though it is not organic and damages the soil). In the organic system, nitrogen is not as important as other minerals such as calcium. Nitrogen is provided as needed by a live soil and through the air.
  2. Avoid using anything that causes stress. Not only does high nitrogen cause stress but so does various other chemicals, environmental stress such as drought, over watering causes stress, etc.
  3. Avoid any thing that is chemically treated. Most naturally mined minerals are chemically processed. Ask first.
  4. Avoid using sewer sludge products, they are not safe.
  5. Organic fertilizers should not pollute the environment and should be recycled and or recyclable products themselves.
  6. Organic fertilizers should be 100% pure, no inert! see organic fertilizer resources on right as well as cetified organic.
  7. Use Compost as your main source of nutrition for your soil / plants! see compost dept
  8. Use Rock Dust as your main mineral source. I like Fertrell. see rock dust dept
  9. Use Filtered water as much as possible We are currently looking for a supplier of garden filters who would like to join Club IG as a partner member  (we cannot recommend you unless you are a member).
