If you are having an cockroach problem it is because you are not paying attention to what is causing the problem: 

 Keeping it clean

      Removing any loose wallpaper, and broken tiles, broken walls, damaged g=floors, old damaged books and loose old and or wet papers will go a long way in controlling cockroaches. Any holes, cracks or crevices must be repaired, caulked, painted or sealed shut since cockroaches can be very small and will fit into tiny araes. Before starting, these areas should be washed to eliminate any eggs, food material or waste that has accumulated. Any furniture suspected of harbouring cockroaches hould be steam cleaned if possible. Steam will kill them as well as their eggs and with an addited benefit of killing bed bugs and fleas too. Vacuuming regularly, especially in out of the way areas can suck up cockroaches, their eggs and the material they feed on. The dust in the bag should clog up the breathing apparatus of any cockroaches but to make sure, seal the dust bag in an sealed plastic bag a dispose immedietly. 

    Good hygiene is essential in the natural control of cockroaches, as is the reduction of access to their sources of food and water. Food should be kept in airtight storage plastic or glass jars and any crumbs or waste should be cleared up straight away. The same applies to household trash cans wether inside or ouside should be cleaned regularly. Cockroaches can survive longer on just water as opposed to just food so reducing supplies to water is essential in controlling them.. The best way to get rid of roaches is to keep your house clean and continue to have it sprayed with your home made mixtures for roaches on a regular basis. Store food in glass jars and sealed plastic containers. Keep the refrigerator and the oven clean. Look for any sources of water or food in those areas. Remove any or change the way they are being used. Cleaning up and removing and  sources is an essiential first step in controlling them.  Close, warm, moist environments are perfect for cockroaches, so clean up underneath refrigerators, around plumbing systems and fix any cracks or crevices you find.  Fix leaky faucets, any leaks or pipes. Make sutre you provide ventilation to moist areas, do not leave any water sources for them over night.  Pet bowels areas should be cleaned everyday. 

What about the Neighborhod?

If you live in a multi-family building, and your neighbors have roaches, you will never get rid of them unless you wok togther with your neighbors. This also applys if you live in a single-family dwelling in close proximity with roach-infested neighbors.
